Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective: 5 May 2026
CircularHub bills per PDF download — the per-PDF amount is shown to the institution in the Razorpay payment popup at the moment of download. There are no subscriptions and no recurring charges, so cancellation in the conventional sense does not apply. This policy describes the limited circumstances in which a refund of a paid download may be issued.
1. 7-day refund window
We offer a 7-day refund window from the date of payment confirmation. If, within this window, you decide CircularHub is not a fit for your institution, email us at hello@circularhub.in with your registered email and the UTR number you submitted. We will refund the full amount via UPI to the same VPA the payment came from, typically within 5–7 working days.
After the 7-day window, the payment is non-refundable except in the cases listed below.
2. Duplicate or erroneous payments
If your institution paid twice for the same account, or paid the wrong amount, contact us within 30 days of the duplicate payment with both UTRs. We will refund the duplicate (or the over-paid portion) in full.
3. Failure of service from our side
If we discontinue the service entirely within twelve months of your payment, we will refund the full amount. If discontinuation happens later, we will provide a full data export and offer a pro-rated refund on a goodwill basis.
4. Account closure by you (post-7-day window)
You may close your account at any time, but doing so does not by itself entitle you to a refund after the 7-day window. Your saved searches, bookmarks, and any contributions you uploaded remain associated with the account until closure.
5. Account termination by us
If we terminate your access for breach of our Terms of Service (e.g. credential sharing outside the institution, scraping, redistribution), no refund is owed.
6. How to request a refund
Email hello@circularhub.in with:
- The registered email of your institution's CircularHub account
- The UTR number you submitted when paying
- The UPI VPA you paid from (so we can refund to the same VPA)
- A short reason (helps us improve the product)
We will acknowledge within 2 working days and process the refund within 5–7 working days of approval.
7. Disputes
If you are unsatisfied with a refund decision, you may escalate to our grievance officer (see the Contact page) before pursuing other remedies. Disputes are governed by Indian law and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
